I love stories, from ancient mythology to modern fiction and the stories we tell ourselves to explain our lives.
With 10 years experience as a newspaper journalist and an Masters degree in Screenwriting, I have invested a lot of time in learning how to tell stories, and I love helping other people to tell their stories too.
As a playwright I was selected for the Birmingham Rep’s inaugural Foundry scheme, and for Writing West Midlands’ Room 204 Writer Development Scheme, and I’m currently pitching my first novel for young adults to literary agents, which is a new experience for me.
I’ve worked as a facilitator for writing workshops for young people and adults for many years, and if your community group, arts organisation, school, or educational facility, has an idea they would like to explore I would love to work with you to devise anything, from a series of writing workshops, to a full blown writing project.
We can explore different types of writing, or we can dive deeper into an area you’d like to explore more.
Get in touch with me for an introductory chat and we can talk it through. I’d love to hear from you.
