Hello, I’m Alex

I’m a creative writer and celebrant based in North Staffordshire.

Would you like to know a little bit more about me?

I love people, and I love stories.

I’m a fully trained funeral celebrant, and I also write fiction, mainly plays and novels for young adults, and facilitate creative writing workshops.

what I do

I have two hats. I’m a creative writer, and a professional celebrant, so how can I help you?

“I believe that words spoken aloud in public, can be transformative, a kind of magic if you will.

They can bind us together, and they can help us to say goodbye.

And I would love to work with you to find the perfect words for the most important moments in your life.”

If you would like to discuss a writing project, or talk about how I can help you to say goodbye to a loved one, please

  • Matchmaking for writers

I’m in the process of submitting a novel to agents at the moment. A fun exercise which means you fail and fail and fail until you succeed and then you don’t have to consider the failures again, presumably until the next time. It’s all about tweaking the submission (and hopefully, the absolutely marvellous quality of…
